Hi! So it’s been a lovely insane week here for New York Fashion Week!!! Here is a sneak peak of what I have been up to….and more to come soon! I’ll be updating all my fave looks from the runways, along with all that I am obsessing over this season!!
The Lake & The Stars: Fall 2011

It was a little chilly yesterday in New York, and so of course Fall is on my mind, layering of clothes and what we will be wearing underneath them! Back in February…I fell in love with the pieces from The Lake & The Stars Fall 2011 presentation. Each piece has amazing detail and couldn’t help myself but think of the very first bra’s ever so I included a few with the glorious vintage ads of them as well! Did you know the very first modern bra emerged in 1913? Mary Phelps Jacob was so annoyed with the boning of her corset sticking into her. So she took a couple of silk hankerchiefs and ribbon with some cord….and ta da….the beginning of modern day lingerie!

Dior + The Memphis Group.

I have been obsessed with Christian Dior’s Couture Fall 11 show, and it got be really researching the inspiration behind the collection “The Memphis Movement“. Which, now I am obsessed with too! I am more inspired to channel this into my home decor than my wardrobe…but maybe I will do both! DIY projects are spinning in my head! The Memphis Group was an Italian design and architecture group formed in 1980 containing 15 artist and lasted through 1988. Below is some of my fave pieces i found…if you follow my blog, you know I love to entertain….I see a “memphis” theme party in the near future!

The work week is here! Somehow I got it all backwards and worked through the entire weekend while everyone was outside playing! Now I am taking a few days off~ the life of a freelancer! Loving all the whites + brights from this Rachel Zoe Resort collection! xoxo have a great week!
