D.I.Y. Gold Painted Pumpkins
10.12.2013
SUPPLIES:
~gold metallic paint
~brush
~white pumpkins
A very simple DIY to give little pumpkins a classy spin. I started with painting the stem gold and then letting it fully dry. Second step is to tip them over and start painting the bottom. The trick is to be a little messy with painting the pumpkins, giving them an unfinished look. Use uneven brush strokes all around the bottom and leave the top unpainted. I did a couple of layers of paint but left the top of the brush stroke light and airy.
TV Edition: Fall Favorites

I absolutely adore Six’s style on Blossom. Her style is cute with the perfect amount of risque without coming off trashy. Obsessed with this little diamond bow beret and super into these white boots, so 90’s!

Oh Brooke! This sassy and conniving character from Nickelodeon’s Fifteen Series. Little miss richie with a mix of prep and coolness. I definitely need one of these leather mini’s for fall, and how amazing is this argyle sweater!!

Rachel Green’s style when she was transitioning from coffee shop girl and high profile fashion buyer. Obsessed with the print + colors on this backpack. And definitely need this lil lacy crop top from Topshop.

Outfit: being casual at Mana Contemporary
9.26.2013
This week I took a little trip to Jersey City in New Jersey to check out the Mana Contemporary Art Museum. I was invited by my friend Michael, and this is the first time hearing about it, and I am glad i did! Set in a very industrial part of Newark giving it a very artsy vibe. Mana is almost like a little art city, not only is there many high ceiling art studios, but an art supply store, framing center, art storage and of course a cafe. With six different exhibitions it is definitely worth taking the time to venture out of the city. Below I took some photos of my favorite pieces from the Pop Culture exhibition and Artist Carole Feuerman. This Sunday, September 29th they are hosting an opening party for the Six Exhibitions from 1-6pm. If you live in the city there will be a free shuttle from Milk Studios starting at 12:30 pm. For more information visit the artmanafest.com.

Fave Looks: Tome
9.17.2013
It was like stepping into a ballet performance at the New York Fashion Week Tome presentation. But instead of dramatic dancers the clothes took the stage. A delicious palette of bubble gum and sherbert colors mixed with lots of sheen and sheer. Drapey soft silhouettes that were very modern mixed with the classic voluminous shapes of the 1950’s. I couldn’t help but think of Audrey Hepburn. Not just because of the classic trench coat, but because she used to be a professional ballet dancer. Not sure if that is what the designer’s Ryan Lobo and Ramon Martin were going for, but if so…they nailed it!
