Calypso St. Barth Soiree Launch

Thursday November 8th, I was honored to showcase my Art inspired by the Calypso St. Barth new Soiree Collection in their Meat Packing District store.  I was asked to pick a piece from the collection and paint my interpretation of it.  I of coursed  decided on the sequin chevron dress and turned it into an explosion of bright watercolors, naming the piece “Sequins Are My Music”.   While painting I pictured the perfect evening in the perfect dress(this one by the way!) and how that would make any lady feel. You can see my painting process below–minus my mini dance breaks I took in between.  The evening of the event was full of champagne and yes, sparkles!  The Soiree Collection is elegant yet daringly fun gearing us all up for excitement for the Holiday Season! Also presenting art were Artists Sarah Reynolds, Katie Rodgers from Paper Fashion and  hosted Kerri Lisa from Gallery Girls.

Hi there! What a week it has been! I don’t know about you but trying to stay healthy with this lil flu bug going around and keeping up with deadlines has me whiped out! I have a few projects under my belt so I have been sketching like crazy. I am also in the process of updating my website, I can’t wait to share! Lot’s of great things happening….so stay tuned!
