5 Reasons for kids to write Thank You notes + a few tips!
10.25.2020
Letter writing is an art and a great activity to instill in your young ones. I have put together a few reasons and tips for writing thank you notes with your little gems!
1. Writing a thank you note and acknowledging what they have received will instill gratefulness in their hearts.
2. It helps develop writing, reading and cognitive skills.
3. It is a great way to teach them manners and proper etiquiette.
4. It teaches them “the art of small talk”.
5. It shows them how to respect and have appreciation for others.
A few tips on getting them to write thank you notes:
1. Set a time and place so they do not feel rushed.
2. If they can’t write, they can always draw their appreciation!
3. Keep it short and simple:
Sentence 1: Say “thank you” for the gift
Sentence 2: Write about why you like it or what you plan to do with it
Sentence 3: Tell the giver that you can’t wait to see them soon
4. Make it personal! Having stationery with their name on it will make it more fun and appealing to write a thank you note! Speaking of…..I just launched the most adorable stationery collection…check it out here! So if you love rainbows, unicorns, cotton candy, unicorns, you will love these! I also have ones they can color in too and make it even more them!
