Happy Weekend! I have a full day of sketching….thinking of squeezing one of these cocktails in later with some Skyy Infusions Blood Orange… when i mixed this drink, I imagined a girl in a ponytail sitting pretty in a retro cocktail dress at a speakeasy-esque bar somewhere in Brooklyn, so of course I had to include some champagne and rosemary for this fashionista.
Oooh….and some classic Ponytails I love….

Today’s Fan Club feature is E from District of Chic, a cutie blogger who resides in DC. I love that her style is so true to her blog name, wearing stylish tailored pieces that have a little flare of “power” to them. A modern day Jackie with a little “Annie Hall” cool & casual vibe….at least that’s how I see it 🙂 …so of course I just had illustrate her! Here are some of my fave looks!

I have been obsessed with Christian Dior’s Couture Fall 11 show, and it got be really researching the inspiration behind the collection “The Memphis Movement“. Which, now I am obsessed with too! I am more inspired to channel this into my home decor than my wardrobe…but maybe I will do both! DIY projects are spinning in my head! The Memphis Group was an Italian design and architecture group formed in 1980 containing 15 artist and lasted through 1988. Below is some of my fave pieces i found…if you follow my blog, you know I love to entertain….I see a “memphis” theme party in the near future!

Hot Summer!!!!!!!!! I love this cocktail for the summer months….and it is so easy to whip up when you have a few friends over!
