Fave Looks: COREY Fall 13

8.30.2013

COREY by Corey Lynn Calter presented her Fall 13 Collection at the Jane Hotel, one of my fave night places.  So it just made perfect sense that the ladies were dressed to impress for a night of champagne and mischief.  Bold florals are not your usual fall print but Corey fitted them into the collection flawlessly. Paired up with sixties shape fur coats, leopard print, lace and foulard pant suit that I am obsessed with.  So yes, let’s bring it on Fall!

FAVE LOOKS: CHARLOTTE RONSON FALL 13

8.20.2013

As Fall is upon us I can’t help but crave a color palette full of cranberries + hunter greens + deep blues. Charlotte Ronson Fall 2013 collection definitely fills this yearning.  Ronson went back to her English roots of 1960’s London using mod-era styles. Tweeds and plaids mixed with fresh digital floral prints and techy meshes. Using a lot of print blocking creating the looks to be up-to-date. I abslolutey adore the  high waisted pant outfit with a heart shaped detail and paired with a mesh top and victorian choker detail at the neck-line.  Foulard printed cropped turtleneck and  A-line skirt to match my heart’s desire. The same print in a dress, again A-line with geometric cut-out armholes and high turtle neck. The beauty statement was nice dewey skin with a Twiggy mod look to the eyes, perfect for the girly girl on the go.  Oh and can we talk about the canteen handbags, yes please! That is definitely on my wish list for Fall!!  CharlotteRonsonFall1

Fave Looks: Karen Walker Fall 2013

4.1.2013

Art Girl meets Working Girl. Totally my cup of tea here for Karen Walker Fall 2013.  Sounds from The Damned and the Souixsie Sioux took over the runway.  Imagine little miss downtown with her headphones off to her 9 to 5 job, so of course her saving grace is the music blasting and the outfit that she put on for the day.  My favorite was this pink all over look, sported with cool girl shades, a fuzzy snow cap, and a no frill pink dress.  I couldn’t help but obsess over the bow suspenders that kept the girls dresses up. That’s right, a working girl’s got to hustle. The collection was filled with lots of a-line dress, I am so into this shape for right now.  Large Hounds tooth plaid and pinky tweeds were the statement fabrics.  Total utility girl-meets-romance, not an easy thing to pull off. But miss Walker makes it work effortlessly!
